Reynold Poernomo is an Indonesian born chef who competed on MasterChef Australia season 7 and was labeled the "dessert king." He was the only chef in competition who get a perfect score during an immunity round. He owned a restaurant named "KOI Dessert Bar" located at Sydney, Australia that he run with his brothers, Arnold Poernomo, Indonesian celebrity chef, and Ronald Poernomo, Indonesian business man. "KOI" stands for "Kids Of Ike" it began in a tiny garage in 2012, where his Mother, Ike Malada, started operations with only $300, to support the family.

Reynold Poernomo was born in Surabaya on 4th December 1993. He moved to Sydney at the age 6. He is the third son of Junarmo Poernomo and Ike Malada. He has 2 brothers, the oldest one named Ronald Poernomo, he is the one who did all the business things at "KOI Dessert Bar". Ronald is married to Rica Yahya and have 1 child named Alicia Rachel Poernomo. The second one is Arnold Poernomo, known as Indonesian celebrity chef, he is the mastermind behind crafting dishes which are packed to the brink with flavour. He is married to Tiffany Soetanto, who owned "Bebini Gelati" at Surabaya.

Born and raised in a family that ran a culinary business meant that there was no red carpet treatment for Reynold Poernomo when he stepped into the industry. Reynold Poernomo said his parents had always second-guessed his intention to step into the culinary business, regardless of his natural gift for cooking and his knowledge of the field from running Artplate patisseries in the city.

 The 20-year-old Reynold decided to join the MasterChef Australia cooking competition Season 7, aired on the Lifetime channel in Indonesia, to get recognition. His girlfriend pursued him to join the MasterChef Australia. And soon he find his passion about cooking dessert. Although Reynold didn’t emerge as the MasterChef Australia season 7 winner, he procured the magnificent Dessert King title and also he and his brothers got onto 30 under 30 Forbes Asia. 

Now, he run "KOI Dessert Bar" with his brothers and they expanding the business by opening temporary restaurant called "Monkey's Corner" located at the same place as "KOI Dessert Bar".

"KOI Dessert Bar" was built on January 10th 2016 by 3 siblings, they are Ronald Poernomo, Arnold Poernomo, and Reynold Poernomo. they were started the bussiness from home garage to now having their own restaurant that named as "KOI Dessert Bar" & "Monkey's Corner" which is located at 46 Kensington Chippendale, Sydney, Australia.
"KOI Dessert Bar" has square shape of building that surrounded by clear glasses so that every single of activities inside the bar can be seen from outside. It has two floors. the 1st floor is where the kitchen located and the desserts were being served. The desserts are ranged tidily on clear glass table with square shape in front of the main door.

Guests can pick their favorite cakes once they got in to the bar and the waiter will serve them the choosen cake and the guests are free to sit whether outside the bar or the 2nd floor of the bar. 

The kitchen in the 1st floor is built with open kitchen live cooking where every customers can see every single cakes and foods and evrerything being made. 
While the 2nd floor is where the customers can enjoy their meals and dining in the evening.
There are around 10 kinds of desserts "KOI Dessert Bar" provides, such as Citrus Jar, Red Cracker, Passion Colada, Strawberry Bells, Black Sesame, Mango Yuzu, Pear, Apple, etc. 
"KOI Dessert Bar" open from 10 a.m until 10 p.m and for dining will be open from 6 p.m until 9 p.m. Also they dessert menu are seasonal.
